Doggone It!
I wanted to play along with this week’s Clean & Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers and finally got a chance to stamp last night! The challenge this week is to use twine. I spent a little while just trying to come up with something different than the usual bow or knot that I typically create with a piece of twine. First, I thought I’d stretch a piece between two trees and perch a bird on it. Then, I thought about creating a clothesline with some mini clothespins I have in my stash, but the clothespins ended up being bigger than the miniature clothes images I had! Finally, I settled on a dog with a leash after digging through my miscellaneous wooden stamps!
In true perfectionist style, I found myself debating whether to tie the twine around the pup’s neck or try to make the leash look attached to him some other way. I decided to tangle him in it instead because I think dogs are very adept at this?!
Stamps: Inkadinkado (pup), Paper Trey (sentiment – Tiny Treats: Valentine) |
I added three gemstones to the collar and popped the pup up with foam dots. It would probably take me much less time to recreate this card than it did to put the idea together! Good grief!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

This is so cute Melissa and I like it a lot! The simplicity of the single image on the kraft with a red border is so effective. I also like the one curved corner and so cute with the twine tangled in his legs.
I love the unexpected fun that the leash is tangled in his legs – I bet he's an excited puppy! Fun!
Super duper cuteness!!
So cute Mellisa! Those little fur buds do get tangled now and again!
This is so much fun. Cute, cute. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving the sweet comments. Hugs
So cute Melissa and that mischievousness puppy seems to have gotten himself tangled in the twine. LOL
Dogs are adept at getting tangled aren't they! So cute!
So, so adorable! Absolutely tangled for the puppy is the way to go. Puppies ALWAYS get tangled just like that and look at you in just that way when they do!! I WANT that stamp and sentiment now!
Thanks so much for sending me the link to the Memorex box system you use. Beautiful. I was probably standing right next to the d*&* things when I went looking at the soft-sided binder. Egads, I'm an ijit! I'll see if the flip-through shoebox system works, generally, for a couple of months and if so, I'll upgrade to a snazzier arrangement. I'm all about simple and yet snazzy!
Love love LOVE this adorable card!! Such a cool use of twine!
