Feeling Loopy

I am still here.  Just a bit dazed and crazed is all!  We took a last minute trip to the western side of Kansas last Saturday (a 10-hour trip, one way) and returned home Tuesday evening!  DH’s grandmother passed away last week and we decided to make the journey.  It was nice seeing all the family together and the boys got to meet some relatives they’d never met before!  After arriving home Tuesday night, I headed back to work at the dental office Wednesday morning, dragging myself out of bed at 5 a.m. in order to feed DD and be to work for my 7:00 patient. Thankfully, I’d at least ditched the suitcases in the entryway and headed to bed the night before, knowing I needed sleep more than empty suitcases!  Yesterday was errand day and today I’m finally getting Mt. Washmore to look more like a molehill.  I don’t think the weekend could have come at any better time!

I did manage to make a completely CAS card while DD was catnapping this morning.  Talk about a speed challenge around here!  She’s getting to the point where she gets sleepy at around the same time most days, but the length of the naps is still not very long.  It will come.

Stamps:  Mama Elephant (Foodie)

I flipped through my stamp stash until something grabbed my attention.  I do love this set from Mama Elephant and pulled it out.  The single sentiment was stamped in black and then I stamped a couple colored Fruit Loop images and fussy cut them before adhering them to the card with a portion of a foam dot.  I was itching to add something more, but when a little one wakes in a fury, one must squish the perfectionist bug and get moving!  She’s a bossy one, she is!

I hope you’ve had a good week!  It’s on into the weekend here on the home front and I’m not quite sure what we’re doing!  I’m always game to play with the camera, of course, but I also know I could probably tend to a couple little projects around the house that have been subtly giving me the evil eye whenever I walk by!

Have a wonderful weekend!

What a happy baby – she makes me smile all over! You sure did have a whirl wind trip but I know the boys had fun and your daughter was the center of attention. I did not know that you work – you have a very full plate. My daughter has three girls and one boy and teaches the 5th grade. Her feet never touch the ground.
Love you card – the sentiment is perfect and I totally agree!!

Thank you for your nice comment. It sounds like your grandparents had the same kind of love story as my neighbor. He never got over her and missed her every day. Your kids are adorable and I can't believe you work and raise four kids AND make cards. That makes your comment all the more special. I love your simple cards that really stand out.

It was a rather quick trip, but we tried to make the most of it for sure! 🙂 I only work one morning per week, so I can't say I'm any kind of supermom! Your daughter sounds like Superwoman!!!
