The Cat’s Pajamas July Sneak Peek: Flippin’ Awesome
It’s Day 2 of the July Release sneaky peeks over at The Cat’s Pajamas and today we’re featuring the Flippin’ Awesome set! Backyard barbeque, anyone?!
A very recent grilling experience gave me the idea for today’s design. This was totally me. I survived and nothing burned down nor was any food ruined. Promise. Needless to say, I’m a bit wary of our grill right now!
I started the design by stamping the bunny, grill and accessories, coloring each with Copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The fire behind the grill was created using the fantastic new Great Outdoors Stencil and Distress Oxide inks. A piece of checkered washi tape was adhered directly to the card base to ground the scene and the design elements were popped up with foam adhesive for dimension. The sentiment was stamped in black ink and then a little sparkle was added to the fire with a brush glitter marker to finish things off.
