The Cat’s Pajamas September New Release Blog Hop

It’s here!  The September Cat’s Pajamas New Release Blog Hop!  Are you excited?  We sure are!

I chose to use both of the animal themed holiday sets for today’s design!  I couldn’t resist putting cats AND dogs both on the same card and still keep the peace between them.  We all know they aren’t always the best of friends, but sometimes it works out…

The scalloped main panel was created using a cloud border die.

I stamped both images directly on the main panel with black ink and then paper pieced the scarf of one cat and one dog to add a little pop of color.  A touch of yellow Stickles was added to the stars for sparkle and the simple sentiment was stamped between the felines and canines in hopes of keeping them amiable toward each other.  I know some people would love to color all those critters, but I decided I’d showcase the images in a little different way…with selective paper piecing!  I hope this inspires you to get started on those holiday cards!
