CASology SWEETHEART
February brings a certain mindset with its arrival. Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away now and the class lists are coming home in the kids’ backpacks. The current CASology challenge theme goes right along with the holiday!
I immediately think in hearts in February. This cue could always mean something other than Valentine’s Day, of course, but that’s the route I took it!
A Muse Studio recently released some pretty stitched heart dies and I found myself reaching for them to create this design. Two different sized hearts were die cut in two different colors. The simple sentiment was stamped on the smaller heart in black ink. The small heart was popped up on top of the larger heart with foam adhesive. A line of striped washi tape was applied to the card base to ground the hearts. I attached the assembled heart panel over the line of washi at an angle to create a little interest for the eye. To finish things off, a little red gemstone was added.
I hope you’ll join us for this challenge! Uniko is sponsoring us and they have a ton of things happening for their 8th anniversary!

Love the double hearts and that single red gemstone. CAS perfection! Thanks again for having me as a guestie, too!
Love this card, so bold in design and colour (and not sure why all my typing is coming out bold here!). The angled hearts does add interest and I always like off the edge cards and striped washi, fab idea to GROUND the hearts-another design feature I like. As the little gem…a gem!
This is simply perfect, Melissa! Love the little details like tilting the hearts, striped washi and single gem.
this card really draws my eye, Melissa! I love the line of washi tape and the offset hearts!
Wonderful card, Melissa! You always pull of such clean & crisp designs! I love the little tilt on the white heart.
Very clean and crisp. I like it 🙂
