TCP #373: Autumn

October brings a brand new challenge over on the blog at The Cat’s Pajamas.  This month, we’re creating all things autumn!  Leaves are changing color around me and the vibrance of autumn is beginning to take over a once purely green landscape.  The season is changing.

We’ve had some beautiful, clear blue skies lately and I decided to use one on my design.  Blue skies and autumn leaves are one of the best combinations!

Using a slimline card size as the base, I used the clouds die from the Slimline Basics Cutups to create an upper border of fluffy clouds.  The sentiment (The World is Yours set) was stamped in black ink on the top layer of clouds.  Before attaching these to the card base, I used a blue Distress Oxide ink to color the background.  A little green cardstock was used to die cut the grass piece, also part of the same collection of dies.  Both borders were adhered to the card base with foam adhesive.

The little orange leaves were die cut using the Stitched Tree Duo die set.  The little boy image is from the Simply Blessed set and was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the coordinating die before being popped up behind the grass border.
