The Cat’s Pajamas Sneak Peek: Simply Blessed

It’s been a while since I’ve stepped into my craft room and created anything.  This week, I’m back at it!  School routines are back in place, although, these routines look nothing like those of a year ago. Our two oldest are doing virtual school and our two youngest are now homeschooled.  To say it’s easy would be an outright lie.  There have been days that run so smoothly and then there are those days when a parent thinks maybe going back to bed would be the best option…if that were an option.  Overall, however, I’m feeling like we can totally do this!

I can’t think of a better way to jump back into crafting than with a design for The Cat’s Pajamas Sneaky Peek week!

It’s time to introduce September’s new goodies!  Today, we’re introducing Simply Blessed, a set filled with the sweetest autumn images and lovely sentiments.

I decided to feature the little house image in the set.  With autumn slowly making its appearance in my area, I’m gearing up for even cozier days than what social distancing has already given us so far!  A socially distanced winter will be interesting, won’t it?!  I’m thinking I need to pursue a new winter activity like snow shoeing.  I happen to prefer level ground when attaching my feet to slippery devices.  It increases my chances of actually surviving whatever adventure I experience.

To create this design, I first stamped both images.  Then, each was colored with Copic markers before being cut out using the coordinating dies.  The die cut images were then popped up on the card base with two different thicknesses of foam adhesive so that the little house would stick out a little more than the trees.  The simple sentiment was stamped beneath in black ink.  To finish the design, a little heart from the Admit One set was stamped in red ink and fussy cut.

A little sparkle was added with a clear glitter brush marker and then it was popped up with a little foam adhesive.
