Happy Halloween!
No tricks here, just a little glimpse at some of the sweet treats around here this week…
This young vampire happens to have teeth falling out right now, so wasn’t showing his pearly whites.
This mini skeleton should probably go as a boxer tonight instead after a trip to the ER last night! He crashed into the edge of the fireplace while playing with DS1, hitting rather close to one of his eyes and now is the owner of a rather swollen, black eye! Poor guy! That’s our boys for you!
This little one could have gone as herself, of course, but given the colder weather in the evenings, I bundled her up in a fuzzy jack-o-lantern costume that was just a tad too big! It kept her toasty warm, though, and she eventually fell asleep in my arms as we made the rounds in our old small town neighborhood! I didn’t get a photo of her all snuggled inside, so you’ll have to use your imagination!
I have yet to catch the other skeleton in our house as he seems to be running out of his usual enthusiasm for the holiday. Maybe tonight. That’s to be expected as he is getting a bit older now!
Tonight it’s trick-or-treating here in our current neighborhood. We don’t get too many visitors because those who wish to visit must make the trek up our hill. I’m giving out regular size candy this year for that reason. I figure if the little ghosts and goblins are willing to make the effort to get to our door, they’ll be rewarded for it (or their parents will)!

Your kids are so cute, sorry that 'mini skeleton' went to the ER last night. Been there.
Happy Halloween.
they are adorable. I think that you can work some face magic around that black eye & tie it in with the skeleton costume quite nicely. Using black face paint around the eyes, would give a sunken look & add to the dramatic effect of the costume. 😉 Happy Halloween
Now THERE'S an idea! Thanks! 🙂
Your kids are adorable — all ready for Halloween. sorry about the skeleton needing a boxer costume. Have fun — Happy Halloween!
So cute! I can't help but laugh at the irony of a toothless vampire! Hope that eye gets healed soon!
I always love your family pictures. You can tell all of your kids are related that's for sure!!!
