Happy Haunting!
This week’s color duo challenge at Dynamic Duos is just perfect because Halloween is definitely cruising through my brain now with cooler days and nights upon us! It always seems like by the time Halloween arrives, it is bitterly cold and rainy and I feel so sorry for the trick-or-treaters in their thin costumes trying to stay warm and dry! I’m crossing my fingers we’ll have a nice Halloween this year. Sometimes that happens! Sometimes.
For my card, I used the Halloween dessert option for the challenge with a little mummy stamp I’ve had stashed away since last Halloween! I decided a night sky would be a good background for him and embossed a black panel with a Tim Holtz folder. The moon was created using a circle punch and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I wanted to use some fun baker’s twine and ended up entangling the little mummy in it! I’m not much into creepy, scary things at Halloween, so went for the cute factor instead!
Stamps: Craft Smart: Michaels (mummy), Paper Trey (sentiment) |
I was just thinking last night during the boys’ bedtime routine that I need to start thinking about costumes! Wow, time flies! Better go dig out the costume tote today and see what we have…and what we might need!
Be sure and stop by the design team and guest designer blogs if you have time! They made some wonderful cards this week! Then, don’t forget to link up your own creation by next Thursday at noon (PDT)!
