Happy New Year!
Today, I’m sharing yet another card I made prior to this week!
Stamps: Verve |
This time of year seems to be a bit less filled with birthdays in our family and I’m thankful for that, really! Things will pick up in the spring! I wanted a bright, happy color, so went with a mix of light and dark pinks for stamping the image. I added a little bit of black Stickles to the flower centers just for a little interest. The corners were rounded to go with the round flowers. I love it when I end up with a one layer card!
DD didn’t sleep well at all last night, fighting some respiratory stuff that the rest of us had while we were traveling last week and that I’d hoped she’d be spared from. There’s nothing like waking up in the middle of the night to what sounds like a baby seal! All of our kids have experienced it at some point in time, so it wasn’t a new sound, but still puts a mother on edge. Needless to say, I’m a bit groggy today, but so thankful she is taking a good morning nap!
She is drooling a lake these days! Before long, she’ll probably be sprouting some new lower teeth…
Lest you worry she doesn’t smile much, let me assure you she only gets serious when I get my camera out! Little stinker! This is her “Seriously?!” face.
I hope your year is off to a smooth start! I need to sit down and finish my list of things to work on in the months ahead! I typically choose small changes that can be worked on daily! Otherwise, I don’t get very far!
