Happy New Year (just a little early)!
Before DD was born, Monday’s were typically designated as my “Creative Day,” so when she fell asleep mid-morning, I found myself creating a card for the first Monday in a while. I realized, however, that the challenge I meant to create my card for ends in less than twenty-four hours, so here I am posting a second card today!
The challenge?! The Sweet Stamp Shop’s Use What You Have Challenge #14! Don’t you just love the sound of that?
I opted to use inspiration from the sketch provided this week (seen on the left below) even though that is optional:
I chose to use circle punches from my stash this week since I have quite a collection of punches from over the years, but don’t really find myself using them as much as I could!
I didn’t use nearly as many circles as the sketch, but given the fact that I’m just a simple kinda gal, would you expect anything different from me?!
Stamps: Sweet Stamp Shop (Cityscape, sentiment) Paper: SU cardstock (Basic Black), misc. glitter cardstock Ink: Encore (Gold) Accessories: SU Circle punches, foam dots |
I punched a trio of circles in a piece of black cardstock, stamped the sentiment and then adhered the cardstock panel to a piece of gold glitter cardstock. I then mounted the glued pair with foam dots for dimension. Then, DD woke up. I have to say I’m getting better at this speed card making thing…
