Home is Where the Heart Is

Today feels like Monday to me.  I suppose it’s because of the holiday yesterday and the fact that we were away for a few days!  I need to get myself back in gear for daily routines and tackle the huge piles of laundry from our trip!  Then, it’s off to grocery shopping and a library run to avoid those fines that sneak up on us if we don’t watch the due dates!

First, though, I’m sharing a card for the new cue word challenge over at CASology!  This week, it’s FAMILY!

I thought of a home and the love within in it for this word.  I remembered I had a stamp set from Stampin’ Up! that has been terribly neglected!  I dug it out and whipped up a quick CAS card!
I colored a clear heart gemstone with a Copic marker to get a good color match & added baker’s twine to the top as I felt there was just a bit too much white space at the top.  Maybe I should have just left it alone.  Maybe not.  Either way, it’s a very easy card to make and it will soon be traveling through the mail to a loved one.
If you have time, don’t forget to bop over to the other design team members’ blogs and see what they’ve created!  You will definitely not be disappointed!  Don’t forget to link up your own FAMILY creations to the CASology blog by Sunday at noon (CST)!

Love and hugs is what family is all about! Love the almost monochrome with the pop of blue and the texture from the twine and gem!

We must think alike, Melissa. I love red and white too! Darling CAS. I'm a push over for that little house stamp as well – love it!
