A Honey Bee Stamps Hello
Happy Thursday! Can you believe tomorrow is Friday again?! I think I am still in a bit of a daze from vacation. With four family birthdays falling into these last two months of summer, things are always a bit busier than usual! Throw a family vacation and the usual summer days & weekend trips in there along with the festivities, and you have a hoppin’ house! It’s all good, though! Summer flies because of this uptick in activities, but I think that just makes autumn that much more enjoyable as things begin to slow to a more relaxed pace and school routines start up again!
Today, I’m sharing a monochromatic card that uses simple stitched dies and images from Honey Bee Stamps. A flower from the Busy Bees stamp set is the focal image on the design. I chose not to color anything, but kept things very clean looking by only adding color with a strip of kraft cardstock.
The main panel is a piece of white cardstock, die cut using the Cloud Borders Dies. The sentiment (Simple Sentiments set) was stamped in black on the lower half. I spaced the two pieces apart slightly and then adhered both with foam adhesive to a piece of kraft cardstock to give it the appearance of a little row of dirt. The flower & stem (Busy Bees set) were stamped in black and die cut on white cardstock. I glued the upper portion of the stem directly to the top piece of the main panel, tucking in the lower portion behind the lower piece of main panel. The flower was then popped up with foam adhesive and a single, black rhinestone was added for interest. The assembled main panel was then popped up on the white card base using more foam adhesive.
I love using dies in different ways and these cloud dies were perfect for what I had in mind! A very simple design and the sentiment could be varied to meet your card needs!
Have a wonderful Thursday!
