Honey Bee Stamps Ocean Background Birthday
Another week is winding down! July & August are full months in our house with birthdays, birthdays and more birthdays! With birthdays on the brain, I created a simple, fun birthday card to share today.
I love the Ocean Borders stamp set and used the background stamp from it to create the background on this design. It reminds me of all those coloring books on the market right now! I stamped the “birthday” sentiment in black and added a small black rhinestone to dot the i.
To create the letters for “Happy”, I watercolored a rainbow onto a piece of watercolor paper and splattered it with a little gold watercolor before drying it. Once dry, I stamped the letters and die cut them with the coordinating dies. The letters were then popped up on the card base using foam adhesive for dimension.
Such a simple, versatile design! I may try varying the colors on the letters, maybe even attempt a polka dot pattern!
We have four nights/three days of guests arriving with the weekend and I have a senior photo shoot to do this evening, so it’s time to set the ink and paper aside now and focus on other things!
Have a happy Thursday and a wonderful weekend!
