Honey Bee Stamps Sending Sunshine
Have you seen the Limited Edition set from Honey Bee Stamps that was designed specifically for the Ellen Hutson “United We Flourish” event?! I created a design today using it and it’s such a fantastic set with coordinating dies!
I used the sun from the Partly Cloudy die set to cut a circular shape out of a strip of white cardstock. I then used Distress Inks to blend ink onto the negative die cut sun shape and stamped a smaller sentiment (from the Sending Sunshine stamp set) in black in the center. I removed the thin outline of the sun (this is actually the intended sun shape from the die) and placed the colored center back into the line up. There are three loose pieces in the lineup and I used foam adhesive to adhere them to the card base. I then die cut the large script sentiment from black cardstock, using a word die from the Sending Sunshine die set. The sentiment was adhered directly on top of the popped up strip, leaving portions of it hanging off the edge. A little cloud was die cut using another of the dies from the Partly Cloudy die set and popped up over the other design elements with more foam adhesive. To finish, three little star sequins from the Hollywood sequin mix were added.
This design was pretty easy to put together once I knew what I was doing in my mind! I had played around with a couple other designs before this, but this one satisfied my clean and simple tendencies!

As usual, I’ll be sharing sneak peeks here and on Instagram that week as we build up to the new release and blog hop that will happen on Friday, September 22!
I hope you’re having a wonderful Thursday! We’re still adjusting to school schedules and finishing up yearly check ups for family members this week! Summer is definitely wrapping up, but with the cooler months ahead, there is plenty of prep work to be done!
