Hugs & Kisses
I’ve been going through my stash of crafty things, purging and reorganizing. This has been a rather slow process this summer, but I’m doing a little every week and things are starting to come together in the new craft room. I’m amazed at how my style has changed over the years and I have quite a pile of things to donate or sell. Feels so good to be taking an honest look at things and I’m discovering new inspiration in the middle of it all! I’m looking forward to using all the newfound goodies as autumn nears and my days slow a little (at least, I hope they do…).
I made a card using one of my forgotten stamp sets with grandparents in mind.
This is a sets from Ms. Kimm Creates. I love her stamp sets (& need to add a few of the newer ones to my updated stash)! The images & fonts fit my simple style so well! This particular set is called Death by Chocolate. I framed the images and sentiment using Lil’ Inker’s Dual Dotted Squares Dies, a recent favorite of mine.
I typically spend more time with my camera than with my stamps in the summer months, so I’ll share an update of the kids. Hope you don’t mind! While I miss regular stamping and blogging in the warmer months, I don’t want to miss the joys of childhood that these four create!

Beautiful photos! I'm excited about documenting my week next week! Love capturing life!! Off to finish up a card now that littlest is SLEEPING!
Love the beautiful pictures of your kiddos. Your card is adorable too. Nothing like a good craft room purge!
Well you had me with the chocolate haha!! Cute card Melissa and your kids are beautiful!!
Isn't it fun going through your stash? I always find things I've forgotten about – it's almost like going shopping! 🙂 Hope you have a fun weekend with the grandparents and, as always, your pictures are gorgeous!
Your card is cute, Melissa. On purging: I'm pretty new at this, so I'm trying [accentuate trying] not to over-buy-spend to always have what everyone is using … it is so hard! So – good for you … and these four? Definitely belong in that 'precious' category… thanks for the visit today…

This is such a precious post, Melissa, and I find myself torn between wanting to craft more, but also taking a longterm view of my hobby. I will not have the luxury of my cherubs for long, as they grow up so fast. Just wish I could capture them the way you do. Thank you for always inspiring and 'grounding' me with your posts. BTW: love your card. Have a wonderful weekend with your extended family.
Melissa, I just read Hazel's comment and I agree with her completely! I always find your posts very settling, calming, grounding. You say so much in so few words…why do I ramble on and on? 🙂 I love your card, and boy would I love to see what you are purging from your supplies because I love all your cards! I hope you have a great time with your extended family…and the pics of your kids are fabulous!
