MASCULINE with CASology
It’s Tuesday and time for a brand new cue word over at CASology! The gallery was so bright and cheerful last week with all those sunshine themed cards! What a joy to look through! This week, we’re going for masculine themed designs (or whatever the cue word brings to mind for you)! I’m always looking for masculine card design ideas, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what our participants create!
I immediately thought of mustaches and I’m not really sure why. DH has never had a mustache and, honestly, I don’t care for them much unless they are stamped on a card. At first, I was going to try using one of those fuzzy black mustaches that kids stick to their faces just for fun, but that just created a mess of fuzz all over my nice white card base, so I had to scratch that idea. In the end, I found a mustache image from Taylored Expressions (retired set) and used a sentiment from Neat & Tangled (You + Me set) along with it.
I stamped and fussy cut the mustache, adding a little clear sparkle with a Wink of Stella brush marker. It was then popped up with a foam dot. I stamped the sentiment below it on the main panel. Black cardstock was added as a matte and the assembled main panel was popped up with foam dots. So easy! That’s the beauty of clean & simple! It really doesn’t take a lot of craft supplies to create an eye pleasing design!
Be sure and take a little time to visit the design team members’ & guest designer’s blogs & leave a little blog love while you’re there!

Terrific CAS card Melissa!
i love that you used the mustache, such a good idea!
I’m not into mustaches either but I could probably cope with them more if they were sparkly like this… 🙂
Brilliant card, Melissa. Love the design. :o) xx
