Monday’s Back Again
Is it really Monday again already? Where do the weekends go, anyway?! We had a nice weekend. Feels like we got a few things done around the house, took the boys out for Happy Joe’s wonderful vegetarian pizza with sauerkraut and had a restful day yesterday. Well, the first part of yesterday was restful, anyway.
We decided to go for a walk last evening since the temperatures were spoiling us in the lower 70’s! We looked at the radar, knowing there was a rain storm coming and decided we could get a little 20 minute walk in before anything would fall from the sky. That was true. We just didn’t stick to the plan (it was so nice outside!) and, as a result, I got my first outdoor run of the year pushing a kid’s bike! It’s not flat country around here, so this morning I woke up wondering why in the world my gluteus maximus was so sore! Then, I had a flashback of last evening’s mad dash for home with three little boys! Yes, I remembered to capture our rain drenched family on the camera, so that picture will be finding its way into my Project Life album this week! 🙂 I don’t mind getting rained on (I like it!!), but lightning makes me a little nervous. Lesson learned: Try to remember your original plan and stick to it. LOL!
I whipped up a card from that dreamy yellow called So Saffron this morning. I really do love that color! I’m not fond of bright yellows and this shade is just right. Thanks to today’s Clean & Simple Challenge to use soft aqua, soft yellow and white in a card, I got to pull out the So Saffron!
Supplies:
Stamps – SU Pocket Silhouettes, Fabulous Phrases (sentiment)
Ink – SU So Saffron, Baja Breeze
Paper – Paper Trey white CS, SU So Saffron, Baja Breeze CS
Accessories – Sizzix embossing folder (Sparkly Flower), SU grosgrain ribbon (So Saffron), button, glue dots, sponge
When stamping the main image, I inked it up in the So Saffron ink and then lightly tapped the stamp in the Baja Breeze to give it a mixed look. I was going to use SU’s markers and just detail the edges of the flowers with the Baja Breeze, but discovered I don’t have a Baja Breeze marker…yet. Guess I need to be looking through my markers!
Enjoy your Monday!

OMG – somebody knows about Happy Joe's and sauerkraut pizza!! I grew up with Happy Joe's, but nobody in Colorado has ever heard of it. So they look at me like I am crazy when I wish I had a sauerkraut pizza!! Aren't they wonderful??!
Kim – We LOVE sauerkraut on our pizza! Green olives rank right up there too! 🙂
Now theres a way to get some exercise! I love that shade of yellow too! Very pretty. I'd have to pass on the sauerkraut pizza :-
