Popping Up

It’s a blustery fall day here today with plentiful sunshine and leaves zipping through the air!  DH finally agreed to turn the furnace on this week.  I have once again been able to get out of bed in the mornings without a lengthy conversation between myself & I concerning the safety of leaving the warmth of bed covers for the bite of cold air within the house.  It’s the little things in life, you know!

I’ve been digging through my stash again and found some adorable Lawn Fawn stamps to play with!  Those who know me, know that I love smiley faces and Lawn Fawn has quite a few sets containing smiley images!

This little toaster kept smiling up at me and I finally agreed to use it on a card.  I used SU’s Brushed Silver cardstock for the toaster to give it that stainless steel look that has been so popular in kitchens the past few years.  The toast I colored with Copic markers and popped up on foam dots.  I punched out a little red heart for some extra love and called it good.  I think I’ll let the boys use this to mail a letter to grandparents!  There is no school tomorrow, so they’ll have some quiet crafty things to do in addition to their usual playing, dirt collecting, snacking, wrestling, chasing each other, yelling like banshees & squabbling!  Keeping one step ahead of them will be my main focus!  Such is life with boys…it’s all good!
