Prickley Pear Holly & Berries
It’s Monday and that means it’s time for more Prickley Pear inspiration!
I thought I’d make a holiday card using some non-traditional colors.
I used the pretty Holly & Berries Clear Set along with the coordinating dies. To create the blue background, I used a foam brush and ink from a blue reinker. The ink was mixed with a little water and then brushed across a piece of watercolor paper. I then die cut and stamped the holly leaves & berries, popping them up with foam dots. The red gemstones were added as embellishments. I added the Tis the Season sentiment stamp to finish the design.
The weekend pretty much flew by, but that’s nothing new! I helped DH clean up the basement a bit. We ended up mopping some of the floor in the construction area. Drywall dust sticks around forever, just so you know. The mopping really helped! We had to stop when the community well that we share with some of our neighbors needed repaired. We spent the afternoon and evening with no water. Thankfully, we were given a little forewarning and filled some buckets with water to get us by! The lack of water kind of put a damper on our original home project plans for the weekend, but such is life sometimes!

I love your sheet music holly leaves, this is a wonderful card Melissa! If our water was off right now I could put buckets outside to collect the falling snow, I think we're in for a lot today!
