Prickley Pear Monday
It’s Prickley Pear Monday and I can’t believe how fast last week went by! I have a feeling this summer is going to fly by the way things are going! I guess time flies when you’re having fun!
Father’s Day weekend proved to be a relaxing one. We had baked spaghetti and a lemon cake for dessert. The cake recipe I found on Allrecipes.com, one of our favorite recipe sites. DH liked it, but I still want to find a recipe that tastes like that Starbucks lemon loaf!! Someday…
For today’s card creation, I dry embossed a piece of grey cardstock using a new chevron pattern from StampinUp! I then used Prickley Pear’s Mini Hibiscus Die to cut out the hibiscus image and then divided the panel into thirds. I then placed a piece of chevron patterned decorative paper behind them and mounted everything on a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock. The sentiment if from the Prickley Pear Hibiscus 2 clear stamp set.

What a fabulous card, Melissa! I so adore all the chevrons and love the negative die cut flower! Such wonderful colors here, too!
So cute Melissa, love your funky flower peeking out!
This is really a cool-looking card with the printed and embossed chevron combination! Love how you did that flower too!!
