Prickley Pear Monday Inspiration
To start things off, I’m sharing an uber clean and simple card using Prickley Pear stamps. As a design team member, I recently received a package of stamping goodies in the mail and, boy, am I excited!
I’m finally feeling ready to shake summer off and move on into autumn completely, so decided to create a card using a harvest themed image!
Stamps: Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps: Wheat Stalks, Hibiscus 2 – sentiment) |
I stamped the wheat images along the edges in a neutral colored ink. The sentiment was stamped in the same color. I then used a clear Wink of Stella brush marker to add just a touch of sparkle to the tips of each stalk of wheat. This is a very simple one layer card design that I can see myself using for sympathy cards!
Have you checked out Prickley Pear’s latest release yet? There are lots of new Halloween, winter and Christmas stamps and dies in the store that you will want to go see!
There’s a birthday happening in about a week, so that’s one of the main things on my to do list for the next few days! Another year for anyone in our family makes me stop and reflect a bit! Oh, how time flies!

I like the wispy wheat, cute card Melissa!
Very pretty!! I love the light feel of this. I can almost sense the wheat blowing in the wind. I am from Kansas originally and this reminds me of wheat fields bending and flowing like waves as the wind blew. I look forward to seeing your creations for PPRS!
Very pretty. I like the glittery touches! Welcome back, Melissa!! 🙂
Thanks, Lisa! 🙂
What part of KS, Angie?! DH grew up there! 🙂
Thanks, Michelle! 🙂
Know what you mean about last week…! This is such a serene beautiful card. Love it on that fibred Kraft stock you after using. Wheat motif works so well on it.
