PRICKLY at CASology
Happy Tuesday! It’s time for a brand new cue word over on the CASology challenge blog and we’re going with a rather prickly one this week!
As always, we leave the interpretation of the word completely open to individual interpretation, so you may be curious to know what in the world my card has to do with it! I think any woman would understand that prickly legs are just not something a person wants to have when wearing shorter attire. Summer is the dedicated shaving season here in the U.S.A. In the cooler months, one can get away with slacking a bit as we bundle up for the cold. That said, you may now understand my card design.
All stamps are from the Hero Arts April Kit (unfortunately, sold out). I decided to make a simple black & white design with abundant white space. I stamped the dress in black and die cut it with the coordinating die. I added a touch of sparkle with a clear Wink of Stella brush marker and then added several tiny, clear rhinestones to the polka dots. Some might question whether using all those rhinestones is very clean & simple, but after looking at the finished design, I felt the neutral color and the fact that they are all the same and limited to a very small area of the design, it would qualify. What do you think?
I hope you’ll hop around to the blogs of the design team and guest designer! They’d love to hear from you!
Don’t forget to link up your own PRICKLY creation by Monday at NOON (CDT) for your chance to win the prize from STAMPlorations, our sponsor this week!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
