Project Insanity Update
However, he spent a good amount of time happily playing with new discoveries in the living room. Ahem. Wonder where those came from?!
After removing most of the ClosetMaid pieces and piles from the room & rearranging a few things, this is what it looked like:
I still had rearranging to do, but wanted to get started on the painting before the two older boys returned from school for the day! DS3’s nap time provided the opportunity. I am so happy with this new color! Now I find myself wondering what I was thinking, choosing that orange in the first place!
This is where I am at as of last night…
I’m now in the process of sorting through things as I put them back. I decided to do away with the little work desk I’d created with the ClosetMaid cubes. It just made the room seem even smaller than it already is and, really, I have a nice little work space on top of my JetMax cubes that is just right since I stand to work anyway! The room feels so much more open! I’m trying to be very careful as I’m going through everything that I took out. I’m putting a few things in storage for the day when I can move into a little bigger room in the basement. This one really works out quite well despite its small size! Besides, it’s right off the kitchen!
I’m happy with this round of overhauling. It was something that I knew needed done, but was dragging my feet on! Now to finish up the organizing part of things! I’ll share more pictures as I take them!

I love that you just right down to it Melissa! I love your new colour, very fresh. Have fun reorganizing.
Don't know if you're truly insane or wonder woman. Holy cow, you just 'decided' to paint a wall?! (Great colour, BTW). You put me to shame, I can't seem to find the time to weed through my stamps and organize properly, without painting! You go girl!
Looking good Melissa! I have all that reorganising to do next month when I return from our vacation in Maine where we are visiting with the grandchildren. Like you, I promised photos so they will come in due course.
Enjoy your “new” craft space
