Ramblings
The leaves seem to be changing color more quickly now and with each rain shower, more and more of them find their way to the ground. The sunlight itself seems more golden than in the preceding summer months.
House projects abound and DH has been putting in long hours to finish this year’s fall projects, a retaining wall and a new window for the future basement craft room. Indoor projects will start once the weather turns cold!
As for me? I’m just trying to focus on my family…
I love how photography forces you to notice all the little details…the big, beautiful eyes, the dimpled hands, even the dirty fingernails filled with dirt from play! Sometimes it’s those very details that we tend to miss when life becomes so full of responsibilities. I want to capture them, each and every one.

I love the wall y'all made! Such a great launching pad for astronauts and super heroes 🙂 The colors in your images are so vibrant and gorgeous!
I enjoy your photos SO much Melissa! Thanks for sharing with us 😉
Yes, indeed! Those same beings already launch off the ledge on our front porch! Makes this momma a bit nervous sometimes, but boys will be boys! 🙂
Thanks, Lisa! I'm learning as I go and having so much fun just playing! 🙂
Your children have the most gorgeous eyes and I too love all your photos. What a wonderful family you have!!

Thanks, Sandy! I love that we have cameras to capture life's special moments because my memory doesn't always serve me very well! 🙂
These are so neat and I like the high def quality to them.
That last image is just stunning!
Beautiful. You're priorities are in the right place – but I think you know that [she smiles]. It seems like yesterday that I was raising my children. Now I see them through a different lens. I listen, I smile, I pat their hands, give a hug, and nod my head in agreement when needed. I experience the joy again, as a parent and now a grandparent. I have my camera with me at all times. You're capturing the sweet moments of your children's youth – memories for a life time. I'd love to share this post with you. It's called Pure Joy. Our son took the video and set it to music. Teddy was about 7 months old I believe. Here's the link: http://www.summerwalkdesigns.com/2013/04/pure-joy.html
