Rude Awakening

After yesterday’s weather siren wake up, today is seeming rather quiet!  We had quite the thunderstorm pass through our area in the early morning hours and it made for a bit of a rough start to the day!  I think it was around 3:30 a.m. or so the weather radio woke us up with its piercing tone, telling us that a storm was on its way.  I turned it off and went back to sleep.  🙂  Quality sleep wasn’t to be had, though, as it sounded again at 5:00 a.m.  It was light by then, so I couldn’t go back to sleep.  I stayed awake watching the skyline turn dark, knowing DH and I might have to wake the children and take them to the basement.  Sure enough, the sirens started up.  At about 5:45, we all went down to the basement to sit and wait for it to blow over.  Thankfully, we didn’t get much damage in our area.  Just a little sleep deprivation and an interesting start to the day.

I felt like making a peaceful card today for some odd reason…

Copic Markers – 100 Black, Y11, Y13, Y15, YG03, YG05, YG07, C1, Black Spica (added sparkle to the black outlining the wings)
