Seize the Cupcake
This time change thing has me yawning! I’ve had a cup of 1/2 caffeinated coffee (I’m trying to reduce and/or eliminate caffeine as much as possible.) and I think it might be helping! It’s a gloriously sunny day today and that is a big deal on a Monday! Now if the temperatures would just raise themselves up about twenty or thirty degrees, I could take the boys to a park! Alas, it’s not to be. At least not for now. We’ll see what the rest of the week does!
I got some stamping in a little earlier today, so that feels good! I played along with Splitcoast Stamper’s Clean and Simple Challenge to make an image that extends out of the box. I’d never tried this before, although, I’d wanted to some time ago and never gotten around to it. I started with a small, simple image for my first attempt. I think I’ll be playing with this technique more often now that I got that first attempt out of the way! 🙂
Since I’m always running short on birthday cards, I made this one today:
Supplies:
Stamps – Hero Arts Cupcakes set
Paper – SU Sunny Days DP, Paper Trey white cardstock, kraft cardstock
Ink – SU Pumpkin Pie, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories – glitter domes (orange), Stickles (Orange Peel), jeweled paper flowers (Color Me Crazy), Nestabilities (circle, scalloped circle, oval), Quickutz embossing folder, sponge, foam squares
Coloring – Copic markers (R02, R05, R08, Y11, Y15, Y13, YR15, YR16)

I have had that embossing folder on my wishlist for so long and just have never run across it. Now I am going to have to again to find it because I love how you have used it!
