Sentimental Gift
For my card, I chose to focus on a sentiment I remembered I had in my stash from my design team work with Prickley Pear! Dr. Seuss is a favorite around our house, so this was a happy rediscovery for me!
The candy cane stripe is from The Craft’s Meow and stamped in SU’s Real Red ink. After stamping and adhering the sentiment, I stamped two holly leaves from one of Prickley Pear’s clear sets, applied some Stickles for a little sparkle and then cut them out (there are coordinating dies), popping them up with foam dots. The red button and baker’s twine were added last.
I’m happy with how this turned out and am thinking I need to focus on sentiments a little more often!
Be sure and visit the rest of the design team and guest designer blogs this week! You’ll find lots of holiday inspiration! Then, don’t forget to link up your own GIFT creation on the challenge blog by Sunday at noon (CST)!
