Simple Thoughts
Supplies:
The days before the big birthday weekend are dwindling. Just when I think I’ve got everything under control, I think of something else that needs done (or that I think needs done). Funny how we get this idea in our minds of what will make things “just perfect” and then, when the big day finally arrives, we realize things would have turned out fine even if we hadn’t gone to all the extra trouble! Over the years (…after having children), I’ve learned a few things about going with the flow:
My floors aren’t going to be scrubbed and shined before guests arrive. Swept…yes.
I’m ordering the cake instead of attempting to decorate one myself the night before (with guests watching).
I did not make the invitations. (Gasp! Did I really admit that?!)
Meals will be simple, not gourmet.
Cobwebs may or may not be visible. That goes for dust bunnies too.
I will live in the moment and enjoy time with family and the excitement of it all!
So, taking my daily “chill pill,” I stamped today. Another simple card, but it’s for someone that asked me to make a stack of simple “thinking of you” cards for her a while ago. I think I like it enough to make a stack of them. Before tomorrow night. 🙂

It is a beautiful card…hopefully easy enough for you to make a stack but still attractive and unique.
YAY! You're letting things go so you can enjoy the weekend! 🙂 Can't wait to see ya tonight!
