Slowly, But Surely
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been having trouble getting back to “normal” after the holidays! I’m sure you’ve noticed that things have been rather silent here on the blog! Yesterday was, I hope, the last of the “busy” for me for a while! Whew! Looking ahead at the rest of the week, I’m hoping that it will be as quiet as the calendar tells me it will be! Crossing my fingers! I have some catch up work to do!
This week, I am the guest designer for the Splitcoast Stampers Clean & Simple Challenge. We were to use postage or faux postage on a CAS card. I chose to stretch my creative wings a bit and try the faux postage technique! Once I got the template made, I felt a bit more comfortable. Overall, I think I’ll try this again (I do have a template now…).
I used a sentiment set from Inkadinkado that also contains some mini images, including the flower image on this card. I stamped the flower in three colors (SU’s Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, Marina Mist). I then sponged around them using my postage template and Bashful Blue ink. I added the sentiment to the lower corner along with three little pearls.
I’m off to continue catching up now. That includes getting back on track with my treadmill dates! Good grief! I truly feel like I have been going insane lately! Here’s to a new week and renewed routines!
Enjoy the rest of your Monday!

Congrats and what a beautiful CAS card you created Melissa!
Congrats on the honor. Haven't been over to the “other” side much so I'm afraid I don't see that news!! Beautiful card and colors. Glad things are settling down for you. Sorry it was to the insanity level, that's no fun! Things were hopping here, but it was all wonderful, and I just let myself sit back and enjoy it (baby really gave me no choice!). The house was never perfect, but it never seemed to interfere with the continuous company cycle we had going on! Last of the company came last night, BIL. Leaves tomorrow morning.
Oh this is gorgeous! Amazing postage stamp design.
WOW Melissa you did a bang up job here ~ this is just beautiful! Love the little trio of pearls under the celebrate. Congrats on your guest DT spot!!
Whoop whoop on your Guess DT spot! Love the stamps you created with all their gorgeous little details. Great colour combo too!
