Spring Break Elephants
Spring break is literally in full swing around here and craft time isn’t much of a priority! We’re loving the milder weather and the ability to just throw on a sweatshirt for going outdoors rather than layer after layer of warmth! Flip flops are next on my list, but my extremeties get a bit too cold yet to wear them outdoors for very long. Until then, it’s my second favorite…ballerina shoes!
We spent last Friday afternoon at a zoo not far from us and loved being able to see some real, live elephants! DS3 is in love with elephants these days and seeing a couple up close had him in awe! Love the wonder in the minds of little children!
Elephants seem to be on my mind ever since that visit and I decided to dig out my Martha Stewart elephant punch for a quick and easy thank you card. I’m trying to think of themes for kids’ cards as I need to make a birthday card for our soon-to-be 3-year-old nephew! I’d used this same punch for DS3’s second birthday party and it is definitely a favorite of mine!
Stamps: Paper Trey (sentiment) Paper: SU CS (Basic Gray), Simple Stories DP (Color Vibe 1) Ink: SU (Whisper White) Accessories: Martha Steward elephant punch, corner rounder, foam dots |
I simply stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner. Then, I punched out three elephants from three different patterned papers and adhered them to the front of the card with foam dots. Last, I rounded the lower card corners. An easy thank you for any elephant lovers you may know!
As I type, a tree fort is being built in the backyard, laundry is calling my name and plans for a weekend of family fun need to be finalized! It’s off I go!!!

Yay for spring breaks, spring weather, elephants at the zoo, and cute elephants on cards!
This is my new favourite card of yours! I am in love with that punch and the grey patterns on the grey background are perfect!
