Take Me to the Fair!
We spent a good portion of the day today at the county fair! The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we took full advantage of it! DH took a few hours off work to meet the boys and I, so that was especially nice!
We started out by walking through all the animal buildings. DS2 was especially intrigued by the pigs this time around, for some reason! His grandparents raise pigs, so I wasn’t quite sure what drew his interest so much at the fair, but I took the opportunity to take some photos of him standing still!
DS1 was getting a bit cantankerous after we’d looked at the cows and pigs a few too many times…
…and I’m thinking this may just be a mighty fine photo to save for high school graduation day!
The sun was shining its golden light and with it came the need for some sweet fair treats!
Think, “Funnel Cakes!” and “Fresh Lemonade!”
Why is it that with all there is to see at a fair, there are so many ropes and signs?! I’m sure that’s what DS3 was thinking!
Ah well, there were still plenty of things to see that allowed little eyes to widen in wonder.

Looks like an absolutely perfect day Melissa. Love those smiles!
Wow Melissa your photos are so beautiful. You have inspired me to get my camera out. I have been so horrible. What lens are you using? The boys are looking so big and handsome!
Hi Betta! Your photos are always fantastic too! I hope you'll post some more soon!!! 🙂
I'm currently using a Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm lens for everyday photos. I purchased a earlier this year after doing some looking online. I'm really, really liking it! I still need a zoom lens at other times, but for everyday activities, this lens has been wonderful!
Such a sweet post. You have some cute boys. Just love the nostalgic tone to this. So glad to have you for Little Things Thursday! Love meeting a new friend.
Wonderful pictures Melissa!
