The Nearly Forgotten Holiday
Today, I’m sharing a card I made with Thanksgiving in mind. All too often, things move from Halloween to Christmas without much thought going into this holiday other than the delicious meal that is devoured in a couple hours and the Black Friday deals the following day. This year we won’t be spending Thanksgiving with my parents or siblings as we usually do, so I want to send some warm gratitude their way. I used a clear stamp set from Prickley Pear to make a simple card and played along with the current sketch challenge over at Card Patterns.
Supplies:
Stamps – Prickley Pear (Oak & Maple Leaf Clear Stamp Set)
Paper – SU Early Espresso & Daffodil Delight CS, Basic Grey DP (Mellow)
Ink – SU Early Espresso
Accessories – Prickley Pear Scalloped Circle Die, SU scalloped border punch, American Crafts stitched ribbon, SU Brights Buttons, SU Real Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie markers (for sentiment), baker’s twine
