The Warmth of Winter
The snowstorm is imminent and somewhere around 3 p.m. today, we will be seeing the first beautiful snowflakes from the near foot of snow we may end up with! The coffee is brewing in anticipation and I’m dreaming of something warm and gooey emerging from the oven. Do I keep that a dream or make it a reality?! Perhaps the treadmill would like to see me for some quality time first.
Today’s card is for Splitcoast Stampers’ Color Challenge (#308). I really wasn’t sure how to put the three colors together when I first read the list (SU River Rock, Basic Gray & Whisper White). I stared at them on my counter for a while and then just dug in my heels and started playing. What do you know? I came up with something that didn’t make me want to avert my eyes! Besides that, I think I might quite possibly be making more cards with this soft, wintry combination! Funny how we surprise ourselves sometimes, isn’t it?

Good job with the color combo. I saw a lady a while back…with tan slacks and a gray jacket…it looked so nice! I never would've thought to put those two colors together, but they look great together! We won't be getting any of the snow or ice. That's a great card to go with the weather that's coming! LOL Gray skies & a warm cuppa coffee!
Beautiful! A cozy day indeed. I just got in from shoveling, so baked goodies are TOTALLY justifiable here!!! We're getting a lot of drifting snow right now. But I see that green/blue mass a comin'. Wowza!
