There’s No Place Like Home!
I smiled when I saw today’s Free for All Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers! My focus has been on the home this week, cleaning, decluttering, thinking about things that I can do to make things run more smoothly, etc. I’ve been so immersed in the decluttering that I haven’t been making many cards! I think I mailed out close to twenty Ebay packages today! Hooray! There is something so liberating about letting things go! I really want my home to be a quiet refuge for my family, safe from the influences and pressures of the world. They’ll always be there, I know, but how nice to have a place to rest, relax and refresh!
Supplies:
Stamps – SU Good Neighbors, Paper Trey Boards & Beams (sentiment)
Paper – SU Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Rose Red, Very Vanilla CS, kraft CS, KI Memories Family Time DP
Ink – SU Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
Accessories – SU Chocolate Chip Marker (faux stitching), Nestabilities (circle), sponge (edges of cardstock), The Twinery baker’s twine (pink sorbet, honeydew), foam squares, heart brads
I cut a circle out of the decorative paper (DP) with the circle Nestabilities and then cut the little house out of the vanilla cardstock with the same size circle and just scooted it over to the right a bit and popped it up on foam squares. I also popped the sentiment up with foam squares. I twisted two different colored pieces of twine together rather than attempt to tie a decent looking bow! You know me and bows…
