Time for T
Stamps: Clearly Besotted (My Cup of Tea) Paper: Paper Trey cardstock (white), SU cardstock (Calypso Coral, Sahara Sand), Memento (Tuxedo Black) Ink: SU (Primrose Petals) Accessories: teapot & cup dies (Clearly Besotted), linen thread, paper piercer, foam dots, Copic marker |
I wanted to use a tea themed sentiment, but had this idea to use a tiny little tag for the tea pot. I ended up using just the “T” from the sentiment, hoping those who might see this would understand what it stands for! Wishful thinking? I just love this set from Clearly Besotted! I used a Copic marker to color the three spots of tea pouring into the cup. I used the negative die cut of the cup to sink the cup into the card a little and popped up the tea pot to give the appearance of it hovering over the cup a bit. The entire middle panel was popped up with foam dots after adding the pierced frame and three dots of pouring tea.
I created this card for this week’s Clean & Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers: a color challenge consisting of Sahara Sand (tan), Primrose Petals (bright pink) and Calypso Coral (coral) and white.
I can’t say I’m really in any kind of mood for hot tea right now. This week’s weather is hot, hot, hot! The boys are playing with a lot of water whenever they are outdoors and we’re enjoying our fair share of popsicles! This momma-to-be is not exactly enjoying the humidity that has arrived, so is hoping next week will be a bit kinder with swimming lessons and the county fair as destinations on the outing list!

Melissa, this is so sweet! Stay cool, soon-to-be Momma!
I'm sorry, say what? “Mama-to-be?” How did I miss that??? Congratulations, Melissa, to you and the whole family! When is the blessed event? Oh, I'm so excited. Do you know what it is? Is it a baby? (I love that answer when someone asks what're you're having and the answer is, a baby!) Hearing me prattle on … isn't it like having an aged aunt in the family who won't leave you alone with her pesky questions?!
Oh, it pales compared to the happy news, but your tea card is smashing! I think most people would get the “T” and it was a genius way to add a sediment!! Mwah! Darnell
Time for tea and two for tea – delightful card – I am following you because I love your style.
