Unity Friday: Peace is a Smile
I did get some creative therapy this afternoon. I was a bit worried I wouldn’t have anything to share because this morning my mojo was completely missing. I gave myself a good dose of caffeine and now I’m wide awake and the mojo is flowing! It helps that the sun is shining in the windows too!
I’m playing along with Unity’s Friends with Flair again this week, the usual Friday happening over there on their blog. So fun! I’ve got quite the Unity stash and decided a few weeks ago I’d better start using them more regularly if I am to justify continuing my subscription to the Kit of the Month Club! Eek! My refrigerator menu board provided the needed inspiration today, a dry erase board with a floral design on it in pinks and shades of grey. Here’s what I came up with:
I actually stamped each of the corner flowers twice, just tilting it a bit the second time. The diamond background image behind the sentiment was stamped in SU’s Melon Mambo first and then lightly dipped in Basic Gray. I popped up the entire center panel to give things a little more dimension. The stamp set I used is called Quiet Essence and I’m thinking I bought it at Archiver’s some time ago!

This is gorgeous, Melissa! Love the flower frame and the double stamped corner flowers. And it's a lovely sentiment.

Wow…showered and put himself to bed! Ah…hope he feels better! My daughter just wanted to be rocked when she was sick (which thankfully wasn't often)…even at 13!
Today, was the day for lots of concentrated work but nicely topped with R&R and FWF while nicely protected from the pitter patter of rain and flashes of light….a REAL spring rain.
Before the rain, we set free the little turtle I mentioned on my blog. My free spirit just couldn't let him exist in a little 8 x 8 x 3 tub. No way. 🙂
Cheers and again, hope this post finds your boy feeling a bit better!
This is very pretty; love the double stamping!
Awesome card! I just got that set so I might have to 'borrow' your idea!

Very pretty card! Hope your boy is feeling better soon and back to bouncing around like a pogo stick on caffeine (LOL, my 3YO is just as energetic and that made me laugh)!
Well that dose of caffeine did you wonders because this card is STUNNING!!! Wow!!! I love everything about it!!!
