Washi Color
With this week’s Clean & Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers, I finally found my opportunity! We were to use a sketch and this is what I came up with:
I rotated the sketch and used washi tape to create some banners. Bright and cheerful. I may very well send this to school with one of my DS’s for a teacher.
I promised I’d share the final draft of the baby shower invite I was working on last week, so here it is…
The original design just felt a bit off to me! I played around with it a bit and decided not to fussy cut the crown, but used a circle frame to keep it from getting lost in the bold patterned strip. I also changed the placement of the sentiment and crown. I ended up happy with this redesign and all 42 invitations are now in the mail!
I hope you’re having some decent weather wherever you are! We dropped from 70 degrees over the weekend to the 30’s today! Not my idea of pleasant, but I don’t think Mother Nature has comfort levels at the top of her priority list these days!

Love the bright colours of washi, and how you made the crown stand out (adding white always seems to provide an answer! lol!)
Both are fantastic!!!

Melissa love those washi tape banner, excellent card.
I love the thank you card! I hear about washi tape all the time…do you have to order it online or get from a craft store?
Also, your revamp on the baby shower invitation is lovely!
