Wednesday Wonder

Sometime I wonder why I decide to create a card completely out of season! The weather is hot. It’s July. It’s summer. And what came to mind this week? New Year’s Day! I’m not wishing time would fast forward. Quite the opposite these days with little ones in the house!
Here is what I created for this week’s Clean & Simple Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers:

I matted the white panel on some brushed silver cardstock, but I’m now thinking I should have made the silver a bit wider. Maybe next time. I added a simple gemstone to the star on the image for a little extra sparkle. Other than that, this is a very simple card that I’ll be able to recreate quickly if I decide to use this design in December/January!
