You Move Me
Today dawned cold with a whopping 18 degrees F, but the skies are blue and the sun is shining. If the roads were not icy and the ground covered in snow, you’d never know we had any kind of winter storm at all! I love how the freshly fallen snow looks after the storm has moved out and the sun shines on it!
I was able to sneak into my craft room again this morning while the boys were busy playing! Another clean and simple card, but that is what I like best these days!
Yesterday, DH and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. Well, if you count snow shoveling as celebrating, that is! We were both just too worn out from the day’s events to even think about doing anything out of the ordinary. I had a card stashed away that I was going to give to him, but decided to make a new one. We’ll celebrate tonight after he gets off work with a nice meal. When you have little ones, many times things are celebrated as a family!
The game pieces and sentiment are from Fresh Squeezed Stamps, a fairly new company with some fun clear stamp sets! I stamped the chess pieces on black cardstock and fussy cut them. That was tricky on black cardstock, but I managed! I popped them up with foam dots and then did the same with a little red heart that I punched out. I added a strip of washi tape, stamping the sentiment above it.
Now it’s off to start thinking about laundry and packing suitcases! We’ll be visiting family over the holiday and I like to start early since I’m packing for five!

Beautiful snow, your snow storm arrived here as a rain/snow mix much to my daughter chagrin. She wants a white Christmas. Happy Anniversary to you and your husband your cad is fabulous I LOVE the king and queen chess pieces–fantastic!
Oh I LIKE this Melissa!! So simple yet packs a punch. We've got the snow now and it's pretty blustery. The happiest of Anniversary wishes to your and your special guy 😉
Happy Anniversary, Melissa!!! 🙂
Oh wow I think I have a chess set…. Great inspiration. Guess I am alerting you now that I probably will CASE this and by that time I will have forgotten whom I am CASEing! Happy Anniversary as well.
Hahaha, what a great combo, I laughed when I read your sentiment! The checked washi you picked is perfect, of course, and the tiny red heart conveys your message so well. Happy Anniversary, and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours!
This card moved me! What a CAS delight!! I actually came to comment on your star card (which I loved) and then spent several minutes catching up on your doings and seeing that you survived the snow-packed storm!! I'm so glad it blew through quickly and left you and the boys with a beautiful day to feast on the pureness and play in it while it lasts!
Happy Anniversary and Happy Christmas and Happy New Year!! Be safe on your travels!! Darnell
